The Starr Project is a nonprofit foundation established in 2022 to bring hope and relief from suicide events. As volunteers, we will work diligently bringing awareness and raising funds for local and national efforts of suicide prevention. We believe it is important work to help bring to light effective ways to help those struggling with feelings of hopelessness and thoughts of suicide.

No, Thank You!
No Thank You!
Jump-starting a fundraiser can be a challenge. What connects you to people who want to make a difference like you do? I go back to the first sentence, and see the word Challenge.
I'm calling it the 'no thank you' challenge.
It is all too easy to see something we want, but don't necessarily need, and swipe that card. Then, the message we get in the store, or online is THANK YOU for your order.
Say 'no thank you'
Commit to saying 'no thank you' to any purchases except for necessary purchases. You need to eat. You need to pay bills. You may have an event already coming up that will have some expenses. Those are all OK! Just say no to that tool you found at the hardware store that you may have a use for, or if like me, just say no to those cute shoes your smartphone introduced you to!
